Why did you choose this as your illustration example? I chose this image because I think it has a lot of emotion and story telling ability.
What kind of illustration is this? This was made as an illustration for chapter of the Illustrated Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone.
What is the context in which the image appeared? The context of the illustration was that it appeared in the first chapter of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone as a full page image showing what Harry’s life is like.
4. What is the message of the illustration? The message was that Harry is stuck in a life where he is put in a cupboard with the cleaning supplies as an afterthought. It is supposed to look crowded and lonely.

6. Who is the intended audience of the illustrated message? The intended audience is small children and people who are really into Harry Potter.
